Chatham Players announces upcoming auditions on Sunday, May 18, and Tuesday, May 20, 2005 at 7 p.m. for JERSEY VOICES-14th Annual One Act Play Festival.

* Auditions on May 18 will be held at The Chatham Playhouse--23 North Passaic Ave.--Chatham, NJ. * Auditions on May 20 will be held at the Chatham United Methodist Church � 460 Main St.�Chatham, NJ All types and ages are needed for an eclectic group of plays - ranging in age from 16 to 60s.

Monologues up to 2 minutes are accepted, and/or sides will be provided.

Performance Dates will be July 24th, 25th, 26th & 30th ; August 1st , 2nd . For more information go to www.chathamplayers.org.

The Chatham Players have an open call casting policy. All roles are open, none are precast, and everyone is encouraged to audition.

Who do you see when you look in a mirror?

Amanda: Must pass for a teenager

Barbara: Must pass for a teenager

Kaitlyn/Rachel: Must pass for a teenager and be attractive

Mom: Concerned mother, will double as two different mothers.

Boy/Coach: Must pass for a teenager and will double as a gym coach.

Parting Gifts is a comedy with heart , that reminds us not to wait to make amends and seek reconciliation.

Mel Torme: Mature male, 50's-60's (doesn�t need to sing); "The Velvet Fog", possibly the best male singing voice of his generation. Has a light touch, perhaps a little oily.

Eddie Coleman: Mature man 60, an ex trumpet player with regrets.

Eddie Jr: Male early 30's, a thought full young man.

Receptionist: Female, mature, business like.

Mausoleum Director: Either sex, just doing his or her job. Possibly officious.

Janitor: Male, very flexible age. Just a good Samaritan. Good sense of rhythm helpful

Woman: 50-something � Widow Expects her family for Thanksgiving Dinner

Turkey: Male, any age, afraid to go outside

What really happens in a diner off a long stretch of road in the middle of nowhere?

Eddie: An attractive yet quiet man in his mid to late twenties. A short order cook at a roadside diner.

Addie: A woman in her mid twenties, independent, free spirited and quite intelligent, but she may not be what she seems.

Local politics take a back seat when two law enforcement officials discover their opportunity for their 15 minutes of fame.

Officer Kravitz: Any age and either gender, Officer Kravitz is a bumbling local police officer, a "lifer" on the job, consistently unable to rise in the ranks thanks to his/her need to take short cuts. Not a fool, but not too bright, Officer Kravitz has settled into a comfortable routine of life as a small town cop. Must be strong enough to pick up the actor cast as Congressman Stanger.

Officer Stolz: Also any age and either gender, Officer Stolz takes his/her job seriously. the law is his/her life. Although s/he feels that her efforts and dedication have not been rewarded by the "higher ups," s/he continues to try to plug away at her job, knowing that any day s/he will be recognized for his/her talents.

Congressman Bob Stanger: In his fifties, Congressman Stanger is the picture of the drunken, womanizing politician, enjoying the "perks" of office.

"When was the last time you called 'Tech Support' for assistance? This is the call from hell!"

2 actors, any age and gender. Actor #2 must be able to do an Indian accent. Dialect coaching will be available
