The Ridgewood Gilbert & Sullivan Opera Company, now in its 71st year, will be doing the perennial favorite "The Pirates of Penzance" for its fall season, opening in October. The company is looking for new members and will be announcing auditions soon, so watch this space. Especially needed are, well, what else: pirates (including the lead role of Frederick, a "legit" or operatic tenor), as well as "a bevy of beautiful maidens".

| They are about to be officially announced, but I blelieve they will be Mon. June 23, Tues, June 24, and Mon. June 30, in Glen Rock, N.J. I will be posting the announcement with a link to the website as soon as it is set in stone. |
