The Actors Training Institute (ATI) offers professional actor training for adults and youth.

For adults:

Workshop 1 - Introduction to Stanislavski Acting - Duration: 40 hours over 16 weeks

This workshop introduces us to the teaching of Konstantin Stanislavski as interpreted by the renowned actress and teacher, Stella Adler. This offers a full course of instruction designed to enlighten the actor to the mastery of body, speed, mood and emotion. Improvisation - Preparation - Relaxation - Observation - Movement - Muscular Memory - Primary Scene Studies - Inner Monologue - Tempo/Rhythm Consciousness - Subtext

Workshop 2 - Creating the Character - Duration: 60 hours over 24 weeks

Sanford Meisner's Technique is based on the later work of Konstantin Stanislavski. This technique imparts to students an organized approach to the creation of real and truthful behavior within the imaginary circumstances of theater. Workshop 3 - Master Class, Advanced Scene Study - Duration: Open Period

Lee Strasberg's Method acting sees as the actor's essential task the reproduction of recognizable reality based on acute observation of the world. It seeks to justify all stage behavior by ensuring that it is psychologically sound. The Method places a high premium on the expression of genuine emotion. Sense Memory Techniques - Affective Memory Techniques - Preparing & Learning a Role - Handling the Monologue - Advanced Scene Studies - Foreign Dialects, Classical Theater

For younger students, ATI offers a curriculum designed to build confidence onstage and in the classroom; then to challenge. Students will experience the most advanced actor's training available from teachers who are extremely qualified and dedicated to the craft. Students will explore many different acting styles and techniques, including the teachings of; Stanislavski, Meisner, Uta Hagen, Terry Schreiber and Gene Frankel. They will literally learn to create the character outside-in and inside-out.

Topics and skills students will learn include vocal warm up, diction, dialects, camera technique, commercial work, voice-over technique, scene study, Shakespeare, Second City style improvisation, alternative theater styles, auditioning, and how to prepare for any kind of public performance or presentation.

The Joe Ross Acting Workshop offers a ten-week course of scene study and related exercises, culminating in a public performance at the end of the ten weeks.
