“Souvenir” at Cape May Stage

“Souvenir”

In 1944, Florence Foster Jenkins, an eccentric, real life New York socialite who considered herself the greatest opera diva of her age, performed a sold-out concert at Carnegie Hall ... unfortunately, she could not sing two consecutive notes in tune! Florence’s story is told through the eyes of her talented accompanist, Cosme McMoon, who chronicles her unlikely rise to fame — and his gradual admiration of her passionate will — in this hilarious and poignant musical.
