“The Last Hurrah” at Celtic Theatre Company

“The Last Hurrah”
Based on the Book by Edwin O'Connor
Adapted by Eric Simonson

Frank Skeffinton, mayor and former governor, and last of the big time, big city Irish political bosses. He is taking another run as chief elected official in his home city (a large east coast city that may look a lot like Boston). Adam Caulfield, Frank's nephew, is getting his first close look at politics and at his uncle. Through Adam's view, we learn of the true power, pride and political wrangling it takes to be "a very big man."
