“Willie B. Came Into The Sun” at Passage Theatre Company

“Willie B. Came Into The Sun”
by Jean Sterrett

Set in the mountains of Vietnam, this new play with music explores the relationship between a Vietnamese captor and his prisoner. The American, a musician, uses his vivid imagination to create a fantasy world during his captivity that includes musical comedy high jinks, romantic interludes, and wartime flashbacks. A surprisingly funny and moving play about humanity's power to overcome the trauma of war. Winner of the 2001 Award of Distinction from the Onassis International Cultural Competition.
