“Dreamgirls”
Loosely based on the Motown experience of the sixties, the play centers on a group of aspiring African Americans and their struggle to enter the racially segregated mainstream music industry. As the group becomes a success, the reality of the price one pays becomes evident in the personal pain and struggle connected with their newfound fame.
