The Eleventh celebrates the little known history of the Jewish people, traveling through 4,000 years of glory, despair, romance and comedy. The musical focuses on a family of four who trundle through years led by Max, a messenger from God, who has a relentless urge to become a stand-up comic. As all five sing and dance their way from Ur to Canaan, Judah, Arabia, Spain, Venice, Frankfort and New York, they're keeping their eyes open for the 11th commandment, which Moses misplaced on his trip down from the Mount.
