On May 1st, 2006 I launched a new podcast entitled "Your Neighborhood Stage". It is dedicated to the discussion of school, religious and community theatre. You can subscribe to it through ITunes, other podcast directories, or at http://www.NeighborhoodStage.com (Please note new URL)

Each episode we like to spotlight a particular community group, and interview members of the group to find out those things that are unique to that organization. We also discuss topics of interest to those in non-professional theatre, list shows whose rights were recently released, and highlight a particular show of intereste to school, religious, or community theatre groups.

My co-host Rob Scardino and I intend this podcast to be an open forum for free exchange of ideas. We want to be the moderators. We need listener input to make the show.

If you would like us to spotlight your organization or you have a particular show that you have found enjoyable to produce and would like to share that with the listeners, let us know. You can email us as [email protected] or reach us on our voicemail line at 206-350-STAGE.

SPREAD THE WORD! The more listerners, and the more input, the more useful and enjoyable this show will be for all of us.

This week we tackle setting up that rehearsal schedule. We spotlight the Sketch Club Players from Woodbury, NJ and interview their president, Frank Myers. Our Show of the Week is that toe-tappin' musical review, "Smokey Joe's Cafe". We will throw in a few news items and of course take a look at shows recently released for community theatre production. Oh yeah, WE HAVE A FRAPPR MAP! See it and add your pin.
