Due to an emergency for one of the actors, Villagers New Playwright Series needs a lead actor for the staged reading of WMAD for Monday April 15th. There is only one performance.The role is "Dave" and the synopsis below. All interested please send email to [email protected]

Dave Dunlap is there to begin his first day as the host of Madhouse (WMAD), the call-in talk show on the tiny FM station. This is his last chance in radio; his career peaked years ago and has been declining because of alcoholism and PTSD, the result of service in Vietnam so long ago. On his first night at work, it becomes apparent that one of the show�s regular callers, is planning to kill herself. Dave makes a decision that involving the police will push her to suicide, so he attempts to save her life by organizing his very colorful call-in listeners over the radio. |
