The New Jersey Association of Community Theaters (NJACT) is proud to announce the appointment of a new board of directors for 2009. The new board was officially elected on December 10th and met on January 14th as part of its annual reorganization process. The following appointments were made in an effort to position the organization for continued success in 2009. NJACT veterans Amy Levine will assume the post of President and Patrick Starega, the post of Vice President as well as continuing his duties as the North Jersey Liaison. The board also elected veteran board member Rita Greco to the position of Recording Secretary and she will also retain her position overseeing reviewer compliance. Veteran board member Gina Lupi will continue on as the South Jersey Liaison and overseeing publicity. In addition, new-comer Dan Maurer, of Maurer Productions OnStage in Ewing, was named to the board. In addition to his duties as a general board member, Maurer will take on the newly added position of NJACT Marketing Director, responsible for all the organization's online and offline marketing efforts. More changes are planned in 2009 in order to better serve the theater community in the upcoming year.
