“The Clandestine Marriage”

Updated to the "roaring 20's", this riotous 18th century comedy is the improbable tale of an aristocrat desperate to raise cash by marrying his nephew to the older daughter of a wealthy merchant. Meanwhile the nephew has fallen in love with the younger sister….but she is already secretly married to the nephew's best friend. Mix in an interfering aunt, a jealous sister, a social climbing father, an aging lothario and his calculating nephew, and you have a wild farce where everyone is in love with someone...just not the right one
