“The Odd Couple (Female version)” at Westfield Community Players

“The Odd Couple (Female version)”
by Neil Simon

Twenty years after the Odd Couple opened on Broadway, and went on to become one of the most successful comedies of all time, Neil Simon wrote a new twist to his comedy classic. He replaces Oscar Madison and Felix Ungar with Florence Madison and Olive Ungar, and he instantly had another hit on his hands. Replace the boys-night-out game of poker with a rousing game of Trivial Pursuit with the girls; have the Pigeon Sisters be portrayed as the Constanzuela brothers, then let the hilarity begin.
