“Comic Potential”
Alan Ayckbourn's play is a mix of farce and feeling, of double-takes and tears. Set in the future - where everything's changed but human nature - an android actress has more wit and warmth than those near her, robot or human. A washed-up, boozing director, and an idealistic, young writer teach her about falling in love and getting laughs. Critic John Simon said:"If you have only one play to see in your lifetime-make it COMIC POTENTIAL"
