Born in Edinburgh, Scotland and bred on the Navajo and Ute reservations in New Mexico and Colorado, Eric Coble was identified by American Theatre magazine as one of 7 playwrights headed for their breakout season in 2002-2003. His scripts have been produced Off- and Off-off Broadway, and throughout the U.S. and Canada including productions at The Kennedy Center, Actors Studio, Playwrights Horizons, Alliance Theatre, and Cleveland Play House. For Bright Ideas, Eric has already received the 2002 AT&T Onstage Award and the National Theatre Conference 2002 Playwriting Award.
