Karma Camp most recently she choreographed Merrily We Roll Along at the Kennedy Center as part of the Sondheim Celebration. On Broadway she choreographed The Graduate with Kathleen Turner. She has been nominated for two Helen Hayes Awards for her work on Cabaret and Nijinsky’s Last Dance at Signature Theatre where she is an artistic associate. At Signature Theatre she most recently choreographed the world premiere of the musical, The Gospel According to Fishman, along with over 15 productions. In 1997 she choreographed the National Tour of the revised B’way musical, Big. In October 2001, she directed/choreographed Remember The Children at the Lincoln Memorial with Kathie Lee Gifford, and co-directed Find Your Own Voice at the Kennedy Center, both memorials for the September 11th attacks. Regional theatre credits include Arena Stage, Actors Theatre of Louisville, The Shakespeare Theater, The Studio Theatre, and many others. Opera credits include the Washington Opera, Virginia Opera Company, and the Wolftrap Opera Company where she choreographed Kurt Weill’s Street Scene. Off-Broadway, Ms. Camp teamed up with Ethan McSweeny and choreographed Never the Sinner. She recently choreographed The Big Band Sounds of WWII for PBS and has staged over 15 international commercials. She was honored to direct and choreograph A Taste of Tennessee, the Vice Presidential Inaugural Gala for Al Gore in 1993 at The Kennedy Center. She has been a guest teacher at George Mason University, The Juilliard School and Duke University.
