Andrew Jackness Biography

Mr. Jackness’ Broadway credits include: The Scarlet Pimpernel, Spoils Of War, Grownups, The Little Foxes starring Elizabeth Taylor, Beyond Therapy, Whodunnit, Michael Feinstein On Broadway, Wings, and the Hal Prince production of Andrew Lloyd Weber’s Whistle Down The Wind. His film production design credits include: Stanley Tucci’s Big Night, Reckless, Prelude To A Kiss, Longtime Companion, The Love Letter, and The Associate. His regional credits include work for Arena Stage, Berkeley Repertory Theatre, the Mark Taper Forum, Long Wharf Theatre, Seattle Repertory Theatre, ACT-Seattle, Hartford Stage Company, The Folger Shakespeare Theater, Yale Repertory Theatre, St. Louis Repertory Theatre, Dallas Theater Center, Center Stage, and Williamstown Theatre Festival. Off-Broadway, his work includes designs for the NY Shakespeare Festival, the American Place Theater, Roundabout Theatre, Manhattan Theatre Club, Circle In The Square, and Circle Rep. He was artistic associate for the Second Stage, and Playwrights Horizons, where he designed Wendy Wasserstein’s Isn’t It Romantic. He won the Obie and Carbonell Awards, and he has been nominated for Drama Desk and Maharam Awards. As an illustrator, he collaborated with Ms. Wasserstein on the children’s book, Pamela’s First Musical. He teaches the Film Design program at NYU’s Tisch School Of The Arts.
