Recent design credits include LUCIA DI LAMMERMOOR with the Santa Fe Opera, HIPPOLYTE ET ARICIE with the Opera Theater of St. Louis, THE BARBER OF SEVILLE with Opera Pacific and the INCORONAZIONE DI POPPEA with Wolf Trap Opera. New York credits include work at the Juilliard School, the Manhattan School of Music, E.O.S. Orchestra and the Henry Street Chamber Opera. Mr. Gupta is a principal with the New York-based interior architecture firm Catenary Design. Catenary's recent projects include Chateau, a nightclub in the West Village, and lighting design for The 5's Bar at the Peninsula Hotel in New York. He holds a Master of Architecture degree from the University of Virginia and a Master of Fine Arts degree from the University of California, Los Angeles.
