The great mystery writer, was born in England. After the publication of her first mystery in 1922, she wrote over sixty books. She was one of the few writers of detective and mystery fiction whose books consistently appeared on bestseller lists. In addition to her novels, she wrote successful plays, including The Mousetrap, and Witness for the Prosecution. Many of her books and plays have been made into movies.
