Charles Greenberg has often performed dual roles as musical director and composer for many original theatre works. In 1976, he made his musical directing debut Off-Broadway in the original production of A.R. Gurney's "Who Killed Richard Cory?" He is the composer of "Little Kit", developed through a grant at the Eugene O'Neil Foundation, and subsequently produced by The Vineyard Theatre and Tribeca Performing Arts Center (1997 & 1999). He is the Composer and co-lyricist for "Dickens and Nelly", a work in development with BZK Productions. Other original scores and incidental music produced at Vineyard Theatre, Circle Repertory, Westbeth Theatre, Emelyn Theatre in Westchester, and the Lincoln Center Summer Festival (1975-1993). A composer of numerous chamber music works, Mr. Greenberg is probably best known in New Jersey for his 20+ year association with the Hunterdon Hills Playhouse where he's arranged, musical directed, and co-conceived dozens of original music reviews of popular American music. He holds an MA in music composition from the Aaron Copland School of Music (formerly the music department of Queens College), where he studied privately with George Perle. He is a member of ASCAP.
