The better part of Phil’s career has been spent as a conductor/musical director, having conducted such shows as Cats (third National Tour), The Merry Widow, Play Me A Country Song (on Broadway), Phantom, The Wizard of Oz, Sayonara, The Desert Song, and 42nd Street at theatres including Paper Mill Playhouse, St. Louis’s MUNY, Indianapolis’s Starlight, Atlanta’s Theatre of the Stars, Seattle’s Fifth Avenue Theatre, Houston’s Theatre Under the Stars, Kennedy Center, and Carnegie Hall. He appeared onstage in Paper Mill’s Show Boat, which aired on PBS’s "Great Performances" series. His contemporary Christian arrangements are published by Warner Brothers and Brentwood-Benson. He maintains a considerable voice teaching/coaching studio in New York City. He is a BMI writer.
