Joseph Nierle Biography

previously directed Sweeney Todd and The Secret Garden for CCP. Other favorite shows directed include Cabaret, Hair, The Trojan Women, A Midsummer Night's Dream, Chicago, and The Crucible. He has also appeared on stage as Ned in The Normal Heart, Roy Cohn in Angels in America, and Sam in Lips; Together, Teeth Apart. Last spring he directed Marvin's Room for the University of Pennsylvania and most recently directed the musical Big for Westfield High School where he is the theatre teacher/director. He is a member of the professional director's union, Society of Stage Directors and Choreographers.
