appeared on Broadway his one-man show, Edgar Allan Poe, and has given over 200 performances of that show across the country. For his portrayal of Poe he received the Buffalo Theatre Critics Award. He won the Barter Theatre Award, toured with the National company of Teahouse of the August Moon, and performed at the Cleveland Playhouse, the Washington Arena Theatre, the Washington Shakespeare Festival and has been seen on Law and Order, All My Light and The Power and the Glory with Laurence Olivier. He and his wife, Norma Rockwood, tour with The Gin Game. He is recently retired from Montclair State College where he taught acting and directing for 25 years, and his book The Craftsmen of Dionysus: An Approach to Acting is used as a text in colleges throughout the country.
