Gina Barnett Biography

a native New Yorker, has worked in the professional theater as a singer, actress, writer, director and teacher. Recipient of the J.R. Humphries award in playwriting, she's had several AEA productions of her plays (Ensemble Studio Theater, Cucaracha Theater Club, Synchronicity Space, Manhattan Punch Line), written for the long-running TV series In The Heat of the Night and had three of her screenplays optioned. She recently directed her first short film, Alone At Last which premiered at the Hudson Valley Film Festival in May 1998 and at Art in General in NYC it January 1999.
