Ty DeMartino’s plays have been performed from Connecticut (“Slice of Life”) to California (“Objects in the Mirror May Be Closer Than They Appear.”) He was awarded a Maryland State Arts Council grant in 2003 for his drama “Finding Fossils.” In 2004, Ty co-authored two satires “He’s No J.F..K.,” which ran Off-Broadway at NYC’s Kirk Theatre in Times Square, and “Soap Scum” for NJ’s Spotlight Theatre. In the summer of 2005, his drama “Tortured (Or The Blessed Mothers of War)” was selected to be part of the Appalachian Festival of Plays and Playwrights at the historic Barter Theatre in Abingdon, Va. Ty’s film writing credits include the shorts “Basic Emotions” and “On Paper,” which are making the indie festival circuit.
