“Lost in Yonkers”
by Neil Simon
The winner of the 1991 Pulitzer Prize for Drama and considered Simon’s best play, this show is set in Yonkers in 1942.Neil Simon describes it as "the story about two boys who have lost their mother and whose father is forced to go out of town and become a salesman to earn a living. The father has to leave his boys with their grandmother who is, to say the least, a very austere woman. That old lady is straight out of Dickens. All her children are misfits whom she dominates completely, and the boys have moved into a hornet's nest." Some very humorous and touching moments make this play a masterpiece.
