June Angela

has won Tony Award and Drama Desk Award nominations for her starring role in the musical Shogun. She appeared with Yul Brynner in The King and I, with Ruby Dee in Member of the Wedding, and with Bill Cosby and Morgan Freeman on public television’s The Electric Company, for which she won Emmy and Grammy Awards. This year, the off-Broadway Pan Asian Repertory Theatre honored Ms. Angela at a gala hosted by David Henry Hwang. She has just released a new solo CD featuring show songs and jazz standards on Original Cast Records.
