Steve Carroll is pleased to join New Jersey Rep. An original member of The Meat and Potatoes Company in New York, he appeared as Otto in Design For Living, Oedipus in The Infernal Machine, Romeo in Romeo and Juliet, Kenny in A Loss Of Roses, and Green Eyes in Deathwatch. Over the last 20 years he has worked extensively in theatre, commercials, industrial films, and soaps. You may have spotted him as Dr. Matt Rawlins in One Life To Live. Since moving to the Jersey Shore in 1990 to raise his son (and best friend) Greg, he was cast in Foundation Theatre’s highly acclaimed, off-beat production of Macbeth in which he played four parts: Duncan, Siward, an Old Man, and a Murderer. Locally, he’s been seen as the Gentleman Caller in The Glass Menagerie (at Amandla Theatre) and Boolie Werthan in Driving Miss Daisy (at the Kobe Dinner Theatre), two productions he also directed. Most recently Steve was seen in NJ Rep's productions of Horrors of Doctor Moreau, A World I Never Made, and North Fork. Steve just returned from China, where he's been filming a series for Chinese television called A War of China's Fate. It examines the struggle between Mao and Chiang Kai-Shek in post-World War II China, and will air as part of the 50th anniversary celebration of The People's Republic.
